Halloween festivities start-up!!

We made Halloween cookies early so that we would have them for the Halloween weekend.

The start to our Halloween weekend was Josie's Halloween party at MyGym. For the second year in a row she won the costume contest which included a free parent's night out for Rich and I. Rich and Josie had to go without me because I had to work but Josie told me all about it the next morning.

I think she was a little worn out by this point in the night.

These glasses were one of the prizes she won in her goody bag from MyGym.

We spent Saturday morning at Buchelew Farm and picked pumpkins.

Somehow this is the best picture that was taken on Josie and I.

We finally got another family picture together!

Josie enjoyed playing peek-a-boo more then actually putting her face in the holes for the cutouts.

Of course there was a petting zoo. Maddy had to take her in though because my allergies were too much for me to do it.

Rich and Josie set behind this tractor together last year, so I had to get them to do it again.

So, that's our weekend so far. We still have another party to go to and trick or treating. There will be more pictures to come.

New baby!

Here is the first picture of our new addition. We can't wait to find out if it's a boy or girl. Now that Josie has seen the ultrasound, she is starting to believe that there is a baby in there.

Prescott Valley Balloon Festival 2011

We had so much fun this weekend in Prescott. I think our favorite part was that it was almost 30 degrees cooler there. We got to see 18 balloons go up the first day, It got to windy the second day for any of them to go up but Josie did get to go inside one of the balloons that they attempted to send up. We also went to the little fair in town and Josie was old enough and tall enough to ride the rides by herself. I can't believe how big she is getting.

This was by far her favorite ride. She went on it multiple times and finally stopped calling it a choo-choo and called it a train. She tried to be the driver every time.

Check Josie out on the elephant ride. All by herself again!

Rich went with her on the bear ride and thank God he did because her arm got caught when she was spinning it and she fell on the floor. No injuries but she was very excited to tell me the story when she got off.

Saturday morning Josie was not super excited to be woken up early. But after this picture she really got excited about being there. She told everyone. "Balloons up, Balloons down." She has already learned the important lesson what goes up, must come down.

This is the balloon we were there with. Dan the pilot is in the balloon and his wife, Laurie is helping get it up right. You can see Rich to the left of the picture.

Dan really had to work to get his balloon to clear the one below.

Josie and Maddy in the balloon the second day. Normally you can't walk inside balloons, it does to much damage. This group brought one of their old balloons so that all the tourists could see the inside of a balloon since none of the balloons were able to fly do to high winds.

I think my family has fallen in love with ballooning. It looks like we may be taking a trip to Albuquerque in October for the big festival there. A few hundred balloons are involved with that festival and it's supposed to me absolutely amazing to see.

Easter Day!

Our family had a very nice Easter this year. I had to work in the morning but I came home to this. Josie and Aunt Cortney preparing for dinner.

The best part of all was that the jacuzzi that Jason let us borrow while he is in flight school was ready to try out. Josie loved it and obviously Rich and I don't mind having it around either. Just for the record Jason is currently my favorite friend, and yes you can buy my friendship. Just kidding, but it is awesome of him to let us borrow it.

The Easter Bunny came a little late on Easter but Josie didn't seem to mind.

This being her first experience doing an egg hunt she started a little slow.

But as you can see she caught on fast!

And she loved seeing what was in her eggs.

Over all we had a great weekend! Even though I had to work, we still got plenty of family time!

Dying Easter Eggs!

Josie's first experience decorating eggs was a good one. She was very excited to watch what happened when we put the tablets in the vinegar. As you can see she gave it a thumbs up!

Aunt Cortney let her put some eggs in by herself, needless to say we had a few messes and a few cracked eggs.

Josie even helped take the eggs out of the dye.

I think her favorite part was seeing what they looked like when they were done.

Or maybe it was playing with the dye!

After we were done Josie and her Daddy mixed the colors together in the sink to see what colors they would make.

And here is the finished product.
