Dying Easter Eggs!

Josie's first experience decorating eggs was a good one. She was very excited to watch what happened when we put the tablets in the vinegar. As you can see she gave it a thumbs up!

Aunt Cortney let her put some eggs in by herself, needless to say we had a few messes and a few cracked eggs.

Josie even helped take the eggs out of the dye.

I think her favorite part was seeing what they looked like when they were done.

Or maybe it was playing with the dye!

After we were done Josie and her Daddy mixed the colors together in the sink to see what colors they would make.

And here is the finished product.

Dress up!

I think Josie is ready for her first set of dress up clothes. Every chance she gets she finds random stuff to put on. She is such a little ham.

Check out my little rock star!

Here she is playing Mommy.

I don't even know what this look is. But for some reason I think she looks a lot like my cousin Kayla here.

She is such a ham. I'm terrified that she is going to want to go into theater. I mean look at her!

Trip to the Zoo!

I can't believe it has been almost two years already. Josie has changed in so many ways. Today Maddy and I took her to the Zoo. I didn't realize that almost exactly a year ago we went too, and that I took almost the same picture, until I got home.

Josie exactly 1 year ago.

Josie today.

Josie likes reading maps like her Daddy.

She kept trying to pull the caterpillar out of the log. And she didn;t understand why she couldn't see part of him inside the log. She's a smart little girl.

Cookies for Santa!

Yesterday we were hard at work making cookies for Santa! Josie was very excited about helping and she did an excellent job. The stand we got her so that she can reach the counter was really helpful. She had her own apron and was helping me cut out cookie shapes and roll out the dough. She especially liked the clean up after I was done decorating as you will see in the pictures. We hope everyone has a happy holiday season.

Below she is trying to get Rich to come over and help.

It was very important to taste the cookies right after they came out of the oven to make sure they were good. We got Josie's approval right away.

She was very good at rolling out the dough.

When I was washing the dishes, Josie climbed up and tried out the icing.

How can you get upset with a face like that?

I guess we did alright. I think it will become a new tradition.
